Check out this gorgeous gem of tropical pop from Bayatas, Formerly Tree Hopping, this track is to be featured on a forthcoming lP. Apparently this song is supposed to reflect the warmness of Miami (Bayatas’ hometown). I’ve never been there, but after a listen to the hand effect it feels like home. Check out his soundcloud for more warmth
On November 11th Small Black will drop their Moon Killer mixtape. Heems of Das Racist will be featured on some tracks like this one below. The song is already pretty easy going, but Heems really mellows it up like “chamomile.” Expect a new Small Black Album in 2012.

Virginia’s Nathan Broaddus follows up his phenomenal North Dorm ep from last year with the blissful record, Lately. The album was produced while Broaddus was studying abroad in Lyon, France and is available at his bandcamp. Lately is a fantastic collection of dreamy songs. Check out the track “Lo-Vélo” below.
Check out the official stream for Ohio electronic artist Blithe Field’s debut on Waaga records Two Hearted. I’ve been very stoked for this album ever since I posted the track “Crushing” a while back. The album will see a vinyl pressing in the near future but for now you can pick it up on cassette or cd here
You got to hand it to Teams, he always is putting out quality beats. Tracks kept appearing even after the release of the wicked LP Dxys Xff. I wonder if Teams ever sleeps? And if he does he probably uses an mpc as a pillow.
Here is the new single “Things Are” from Sun Glitters. The Luxembourg based producer has been super busy, constantly giving us new material. He recently released his album Everything could be fine, a remix compilation, and an EP with Stefaloo. Check those out here. Sun Glitters is a busy guy but, Things Are shows us that he still has time to chill.
UK producer Zomby is set to release his debut album Dedication on July 11th via 4AD. Below is the first track released, Things fall Apart, featuring vocals by Panda Bear. Zomby has toured with Animal Collective in the past, this collaboration was bound to happen. Dedication is going to be one of the tightest productions this summer.
On June 28th Lefse imprint Waaga records will release the debut LP, Two Hearts, from Ohio’s Blithe Field. This is the first single and sonically it follows the path of other electronic acts such as Four Tet and Gold Panda. Blithe Field utilizes homey field recordings and tampers and bends organic instrumentation to create dreamy sounds scapes. Check out Crushing below and read more about this project at Waaga where you can also see the tracklisting and preorder the album on CD/Cassette. Blithe Field has also undertaken the ambitious effort of using kickstarter to help finance the pressing of Two Hearts on vinyl. More information on that is available here.
Here is a track from a live album by Datahowler. I was a little skeptical how the whole “Chillwave” thing would play out in a live setting or even make a good live record. Live by Datahowler has some gems on it, this being one of them.
I’m a pretty big fan of noise/drone/ambient music, so I was pretty stoked when I stumbled by this great piece by Memphis’ Aster (formerly Injury Sheets) Key boards evaporating into reverb drenched my speakers as I was instantly calmed and made sleepy.
New Video// Gold Panda- Marriage (Starslinger Remix)
A while back I posted a link for the new Gold Panda Marriage ep featuring remixes from some pretty big names. Now one of those big names, Star Slinger, has a video for his Marriage remix directed by slovenian artists Lucijan Kranjc and Anže Sekelj. This video is gorgeous, it features an amazing light show dancing all over someone’s home. I imagine this is what a rave would look like if no one was there.
